![]() Toward the end of the workshop, I noticed that my board needed more on it, so I added several self-motivating phrases to fill my board.Ĭreating a dream board reminded me of when I was younger and created collages. I also selected pictures of dream house projects and much needed vacation spots. Many of the sayings that I added to my board had to do with love, family and appreciating moments in my life. I tacked nine quotes to my board, including “Be great in act as you have been in thought,” - William Shakespeare, “Live each moment to its fullest” and “Collect moments not things.” I carefully selected a few phrases that put a smile on my face, inspired me and encouraged me. Then I sorted through pictures, phrases, poems and quotes. I wasn’t too concerned about accidentally burning my fingers with the hot glue gun, which happened - not a big deal. Grabbing my corkboard, I glued three styles of pre-cut fabrics. The group started by decorating the edges of 2-foot by 3-foot corkboards with pre-cut fabrics. Griffin said dream boards are like a live Pinterest webpage. “The key to happiness is making your dreams come true.” “It really can make a difference,” said Griffin, who showed the class her colorful dream board. Inside the family-owned shop, Griffin, of Naples, helped four ladies, including myself, create our own handmade dream board on a recent Saturday. I recently ventured to a wonderful dream board workshop ($35), hosted by Kristen Griffin, at Green Street Boutique in Bonita Springs. It’s not every day that I have time to sit down for several hours and think about my dreams and desires.
